It was so good that you were there for your friend. My husband lost his job 3 years ago, completely unexpectedly. Recovery has been slow and I, have not always been as supportive as maybe I should have been as dealing with own anger and pain with the whole new reality. 3rd July 2008

Idea #1

Here’s an idea for you on your quest for $2M. It’s a risk, but perhaps you might want to take it. If you get a loan, you might be able to hire some good developers on the web (on a tight timeframe, though) to build you a PPC site, sort of like this one:

…but reduced down to its basics. Grow it for like 2 years, then sell the site as a turnkey site to some other business for like $150K. Then go move on to your other big website idea based on the profit from flipping this site.

Here’s why this might work. There are a ton of affiliate marketers out there looking for ads that are flexible. Google’s AdSense have so many rules and restrictions and it’s frustrating people, causing them to look for other PPC networks out there.

Idea #2

Get a developer to build you a mashup that combines a survey system with a search engine that does the sneaky thing of connecting to wikia and/or google search in the background (making it easy to build the search engine part). When people type in, for instance, “cigarettes”, and ad at the top could say, “Click this link to get paid for a survey dealing with cigarettes”. There are survey networks out there that, if you can get people to click survey links, they’ll pay you for the transaction, and you can take a tiny cut and give the rest to the end user.
