The importance of having a healthy body and healthy mind is paramount to achieving success in your life. It is something that we all must work on and it doesn’t take a lot of time or effort to achieve it.

Lets start with having a healthy mind, the best way to achieve a healthy mind is quiet literally from having a positive attitude and positive mental outlook. It doesn’t take much to achieve this, start off everyday, from the second you wake up with positive thoughts, feel good about yourself and the challenges that lie ahead of you. Also remember to smile more, it helps you to stay more positive, smiling whether you feel like it or your mood will change for the better.

Having a healthy body is another vitally important factor relating to achieving personal success. A healthy body is achieved through having a good diet, drinking plenty of water and exercising, again it doesn’t take a lot to achieve this. The importance of having a healthy body is quite apparent; you will feel better physically, which will also result in you feeling mentally better.

A healthy body is our natural state of being, which is altered through bad diet, lack of exercise and stress. By bringing the body back to its natural state you will not only feel better about yourself, you will be physically stronger to deal with whatever obstacles that appear in front of you. Before you embark on any life improving, exercise and diet program, you must pay a visit to your doctor and get some professional advice.

For me having a healthy mind and body is a springboard to becoming successful. I know from personal experience how much better I feel when my mind is in a good state of being and my body is in good condition. If we don’t look after the basics how can we expect to move forward with our lives, no matter what we are aiming for!

Lets be honest with ourselves, if we cannot find the time to create a healthy mind and body, we are deluding ourselves. It doesn’t take a lot and the benefits are life changing.

In Order to be a Success, You Must Act and Think Like You’re Already Successful.

For those of us that are on the path to becoming successful, we are not alone. Everyone in the world is trying to become successful at something, whether it’s in business, sport, day-to-day life, or relationships. For most people success isn’t an easy thing to achieve, in fact it can be very elusive for many people.

To become successful, you cannot just stumble along hoping that a miracle is going to happen one day. Unfortunately this is the time and effort that many people put into becoming successful. I have a friend that has been single for about 5 years, and would desperately like a new lady to share his life, but he doesn’t actually go out and look, his motto is, “that it will happen one day”. He isn’t very successful and isn’t likely to be, unless he actually wakes up from his fantasy, and does something to change things. Living in hope wont get you anywhere.

My theory is a simple one, the first step on the road to becoming successful, is that you must act and think like you’re already successful. When you start to feel and believe, that you are already successful, you are training your body, mind and soul to believe that you are really successful.

You have to develop a success mentality and that starts in the mind. The bottom line is, if you don’t start to develop success in your mind, it is highly unlikely that you will ever become successful.

Don’t put things off until tomorrow, start right now! See yourself as being successful, feel successful, think successful, and start acting successful. By doing this before long you will not only see yourself as successful but also you will have developed a success mentality.

For all those people out there that live in a fantasy world and believe that success is purely down to luck, you are using that as an excuse and as a result nothing is ever going to make you successful. If you can be bothered, do some research into some of the most successful business and sports people in the world today and in the past, you will find out how much dedication, effort, time, training, and thought went into making them the success stories they become. They weren’t all born with a silver spoon in their mouths either!

The only thing stopping us from becoming successful, is our own minds, and if you don’t believe that carry on doing the lotto, your going to win it one day, yeah right!

Staying Focussed on the Path to Success

Staying focussed is something, which separates the winners, from the losers, if you continually lose track of where you are going or what you are trying to achieve it will have an adverse effect on your changes of success.

I know from personal experience as I focus on developing businesses and my constant search for new opportunities, how difficult it can be to stay focussed on what you are meant to be doing.  The biggest problems I had was that I was constantly trying to do too many things at the same time and allowing myself to be easily distracted.   Because of this things wouldn’t get done or they wouldn’t be completed to the standard I expect.

I knew I had to come up with a solution or I would never be able to move forward and properly fulfil my potential. I have developed a system that works real well, which I now use it to keep me focussed and on the path to success.

Mental Relaxation - Begin the day by sitting down in comfortable chair, close your eyes and breath deeply, in through your nose and out through your mouth, do this do for 10 minutes. During this time allow yourself to become relaxed, calm and think positive thoughts.

Healthy Body & Mind - You need to make sure you eat healthily, drink plenty of water, exercise, exercise your brain, take time out for relaxation, you must get at least 6 hours sleep a night. These factors have a direct effect on your ability to stay focussed.

Setting Goals - have your long-term aims and goals written down and refer to them on a regular basis to remind yourself what it is your trying to achieve.

Daily Goals - At the start of each day have a list of the tasks which you plan on completing on that particular day.  You must prioritise them in order of importance and do not allow yourself be sidetracked.

Eliminate Distractions - these are one of the biggest factors for losing focus.  Allowing yourself to be sidetracked by things such as, messenger, My Space, Television, etc when you are meant to be concentrating on work. Set aside leisure time and stick to it.
