2 Million Dollar Bills

My Second full month as a blogger has now been completed and I’m now in elite company! A high percentage of bloggers seemingly quit within the first two months of start up a blog, thinking it is going to be an easy route to giving up the day job and making their fortune.

For me my blog is a long-term plan and I don’t expect to be making any serious money out of blogging until 18-24 months time. My goal at the moment is to develop 2milliondollarbills.com into a blog that provides interesting, unique and well-written content, I know, I still have a long way to go to achieve this, but I’m getting there.

2milliondollarbill.com is slowly increasing its readership and subscribers, at a moderate rate, which has exceeded my expectations. My figures for the month of May are well above my expectations. This months figures also take into account the fact, that for 7 days due to moving to London and the hassles involved in that, I couldn’t do very much blog related work and as a result my blog expectedly never gained many new readers during this period.

I also started a second blog in May called travelersstories.com , which was probably a slightly crazy thing to do considering how busy my schedule was in May. I also built and launched a web site for a company in Barbados that I’m a director of.

If I want to achieve my goal of making 2 million dollars, I have to work hard and stay focussed; no one is going to do it for me.

The earnings that I make from blogging at the present time are immaterial, they do not even come into the equation, I know that at some point in the future my blog will be earning a considerable amount of money, I have made  enough in my first two months of blogging to cover my hosting charges for the next year. I realise that to make serious money from Google Adsense you have to have massive levels of traffic and your blog has to be suited to actually making money from ppc advertising.

My main goal for the future is to keep on building up my blogs traffic to the level where I can go and sell advertising space directly, the is the future of blogging!

Every single time I go online to research business opportunities, it seems that virtually every single idea, opportunity or scheme is virtually a complete waste of time. It is either some unbeatable gambling system, or a secret formula or a cant fail wealth generation program, all offering to make you wealthy.I feel that Google should possible be looking into doing more to prevent these fraudsters peddling their blatant scams. So many of the paid for Google ads, are obviously never going to make anybody money, apart from the smiling happy faces that are selling the idea.

I just love those pictures that are spread throughout the adds of those scammers, you see them standing beside their brand new Bentley, or a particular favourite of mine,  is when you see them sitting at the harbour claiming that the yacht in the background is theirs, give me a break, like we really believe you.

You also get the stealth like tactics used by some of the biggest names in blogging, I won’t name, names but they know who they are. They pretend that they are out to help you but in reality, they just want you to buy their secret formula, which is either some eBook, or training program, or some blueprint which will make you more successful.

You would think that these helpful gurus would be giving it away for free, they want us to visit their blogs, leave comments, click on their ads, then they want to charge us for the real information. I cant quite understand why they are not happy with the huge amounts of money that they are seemingly making from Google Adsense, direct advertising or whatever other forms of advertising they have. Most of what they are trying to get us to pay for, can be readily found online and for free.

Take care out there the Internet is a dangerous place full of False Prophets, promising the world, but in reality offering nothing at all.
