Top Ten Tips to Make Article Marketing Work for You

author Posted by: garryaw on date Oct 7th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Marketing

One of the most effective ways to build your credibility, attain search presence and create quality backlinks to your website is through ‘Article Marketing’. Article marketing involves writing a series of well crafted, knowledgeable articles within your area of business expertise and publishing them not only on your own website but also in various high profile places across the Internet, in order to establish credibility, “Become The Expert” and help to increase your search engine positions.

However, there is a certain set of rules to help you to use Article Marketing to promote your services, products and website, so here are my Top 10 Tips on Writing and Publishing your own Marketing Articles:

TIP ONE: Don’t Sell – Give It Away – This type of article is not sales copy. The aim is not to sell your goods or services, but to give away your knowledge for free. Sounds crazy, but the more you give away, the more potential business you’ll receive back. Demonstrate your range of knowledge and you’ll see your online credibility building.

The more free knowledge you give away, the more people will see you as the expert in the field. When those people need what you’re selling, they’re much more likely to come directly to you.

TIP TWO: Tailor your Title – Make your title alluring and attractive. Questions such as ‘How to…’ and ‘Why’ are good for attracting the reader’s curiosity. Top Tens and Top Fives work well too. Try to place a keyphrase within your title for maximum SEO opportunity.

TIP THREE: Paragraph – Make your paragraphs short and to the point. Try to avoid paragraphs larger than five lines if you can help it. Think about writing for Internet readers who like to scan for the best bits, so make it easy for them to read.

TIP FOUR: Keywords – You should carefully and strategically plant your best SEO keywords or keyphrases throughout your articles, but it’s vital that they do not obscure the meaning of the sentences or make the article less enjoyable to read.

Don’t make the article just about the keywords; just naturally allow the keywords or keyphrases to be used throughout the article. Use a keyword tool to find the most relevant keywords or phrases to suit your needs.

TIP FIVE: Publish – Internet publishing isn’t like the restricted environment of printed media publishing. The Internet is a great democratic space that allows anyone to get published. When thinking about where you want to publish your articles on the Internet, start with your own website(s).

Next, stake out a few Article Directories such as EzineArticles.com and take a look at their article submission policies. Work out the FIVE or so article directories where you might put your work and make that part of your publishing process. Finally, look at the social networking or business forum sites and consider publishing your articles if their terms and conditions allow.

TIP SIX: Link – At the very bottom of your article, you should add a backlink to your website. You can add something like ‘For More Articles – visit XXXX or email name@company.com. Some sites do not allow this, so read the submission rules very carefully. Don’t fill your article with links; the focus is the content, nothing else.

TIP SEVEN: Tasters/Hooks – Some of the article directories allow you to put a short taster paragraph as part of the submission. This is great, but it’s better to use that same taster idea elsewhere. Post a ‘hook’ or ‘taster’ paragraph up on a forum with a link to the article on your own website. Make the taster drive the reader to your site where they can become a potential client or customer.

Doing this will create a backlink that will improve your SEO and since the forum will probably be optimised too, your article hook will come up on the Search Engines too.

Writing a good taster means giving just enough information to tempt the reader into wanting to finish reading the article. So when writing an article ‘hook’ it’s a balance between giving too much or too little information away.

TIP EIGHT: Word Count – Articles between around 300 and 1000 words are a good length for Article Marketing purposes. Too little and you can’t communicate enough to build credibility. Too much, and the average reader will get bored and stop reading before the end. This will prevent them from seeing the link to your website. Don’t waffle on; the length of the article need only be enough words to make your point.

TIP NINE: - Topic – Choose the kind of topics that people are likely to search for. Imagine that all people using a Search Engine are looking for a solution to a particular problem. Consider how you provide a range of solutions to potential customer problems. Write your article questions or Top 10s around those problems and solutions. When someone uses a Search Engine to find a solution, they should find your article as a potential answer to their problem. Topic choice should be driven by this philosophy.

TIP TEN: Outsource - Consider employing an article writer to produce the high quality content you need. This can often save you time and money and keeps the flow of articles coming for as long as you have the budget to pay for the service.

Not everyone has the confidence or ability to write articles, don’t miss out on the value of article marketing just because you lack time, confidence or aptitude. When choosing to outsource your articles to a professional content writer, make sure that they demonstrate to you the ability to write on your topic area and always, ALWAYS choose someone whose English is better than yours.

Writing and publishing your own articles online will provide you with some very valuable exposure across the Internet. The more high quality articles that you write, the more potential traffic you could receive and the stronger your credibility will be.

Has Google Turned Into the Evil Empire, They Wont Silence Me!

author Posted by: garryaw on date Jul 4th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Online Business Opportunities

I pose the questions has Google turned into an evil like monster, which only cares about making more and more profits. For me a company changes as soon as it has to answer to share holders. From that moment onwards it isn’t about the company doing the best that they can for the consumer, its about doing the best that they can for the shareholders. I suppose that is the way of the world.

I personally look forward to the day when Google gets kicked off its perch as the Iconic monster that is has become, this is also the way of the world, that another more innovative and cutting edge company will come along and over take Google as the No1 search engine in the world. As most of us are aware Google is a lot more than just a search engine, it has become a massive corporation that has become obsessed with growth and profits. Google has come a long way from that wee company that began life in a garage.

For me Google has turned into a Evil Empire that is trying to bleed the internet dry, and at the present time they are doing a good job. Looking back I cant believe I even allowed Google Adsense on to my blogs. The money that I would make when someone would click on a add on one of my blogs was disgusting. It was big big big money ooooh, $0.24, $00.8, $0.36 etc I wish i knew how much Google was getting, but you can hazard a guess that they were making at least 5+ times the amount they were so generously giving me.

I know it was my personal choice to use Google Adsense, just like it was my personal choice to take the evil monster off my blogs. I can now concentrate fully on increasing the readership levels of my blogs, so that I can at some point go to advertisers directly and sell advertising space, that is the real future of making money from blogging. I can assure you, that there are evil little men in darkened rooms within the Google empire trying to figure out ways to destroy the real future of money making for the blogging community.

I see Google as being a criminal like company that will one day answer for their actions, I posed this question few weeks ago, why does Google allow companies that are clearly selling scams and are blatantly trying to cheat hardworking, but naïve people out of their money. I have seen numerous paid of adds on Google that are clearly companies selling business ideas which are nothing short of being absolute cons! Google obviously doesn’t mind taking pieces of sliver from these companies and it obviously doesn’t care that users of its products, ie Google search engine are being led directly to these con merchants by themselves. Thank you very much Google!

I have also read too many stories online, concerning bloggers that were stupidly solely reliant on Google Adsense as a money maker and some even gave up their wage slave jobs to concentrate on building a future with Google. For a while they were making good money, that was until Google decided they were somehow responsible for cheating the Google system! From what I have read online this has happened to countless people, most of them claim that they are totally innocent, what can they do? not a lot, Google is the EVIL DICTATOR, and they will never listen to reason, remember all evil dictators have their day in hell.

Anybody that is considering giving up their wage slave job to make a full time, long term business out of Google Adsense are you a crazy fool, why would you put all your eggs in one basket?  When you do this you are controlled by Google and you are living in fear of Google, they own you. You would be better off sharing a prison sell with Big Bubba at least you would know what you were getting!

Do not let Google control you, I know most people are petrified and quaking in their boots at the thought of upsetting the Evil Empire which is Google. Remember Google is watching and tracking your movements and more than likely passing that information on to the CIA. I know you will be reading this article with keen interest Google spies, leave a comment if you want and if I like it I will publish it! Also for the CIA try and stop President George Bush from starting another war before he leaves office, I know he is itching to blow up Iran and South Korea!

I know from personal experience that Google will do everything that they can do to prevent people from reading my blog, every time you write something that speaks out against the Evil Monster, they will try and silence you, a true DICTATOR.

I for one have never allowed myself to be dictated to, I have found  search a new  search engine which i like called Clusty.com, I have blocked cookies from Google and I have other security measures which I shall be using to prevent Google snooping on me. The bottom line is I do not and will never trust a company like Google, to responsible look after my personal information.

Wan and Google Wants Us to Pay for Web Content, GET LOST!

author Posted by: garryaw on date Jun 5th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Passing the Time of the Day

I recently read some disturbing comments made by Nikesh Arora, president for Google Europe, Middle East and Africa and vice president Google UK, who by looking into his Google crystal ball, is basically telling us Google wants and is going to attempt to make big changes concerning the current structure of the internet!

Arora, who’s comments you have to guess were discussed with the Google Hierarchy long before he made them, he/they believe that the web economy is going to change and that people will pay for content online, much like in the print industry.

For me, I can only imagine that Google have discovered a new master plan as to how they can make even more money from the online community.

I think that huge companies such as Google, Yahoo, MSN etc are hell bent on destroying the way the Internet works at the present time. I wouldn’t be surprised if they all sat in secret meetings trying to figure out how to make the Internet even more cash friendly for them and their shareholders.

It’s the usual story of huge wealthy companies; they can never make enough profits. I personally feel that when they get to the stage where they care more about profits than they do innovation, its time for a smaller, and more innovative and exciting company to come along and take market share away from them, much like they all did when they first stated out. But I guess if that happens the Google, Yahoo or MSN machines, will soon buy it over and destroy it.

Arora also seems to have a big problem with the amount of blogs that are currently online and says it will not last, he reckons there will be a huge clearout and predicts a small number rising to the top and creaming off large audiences. I see this as being a dangerous situation, how long will it be until these super blogs are bought over and then controlled by Google, MSN, Yahoo, huge publishers, etc, My 2milliondollarbills.com crystal ball is now starting to see the future!

Google and the other major players in the online world and publishing worlds, have to realise there are millions of people out there that are not controlled by the desire to make profits and more profits and more profits!

I feel that maybe Google needs to take a few steps back and find out what it is,  the hundreds of millions of users that use them, really want from the Internet. Google may lose out if they try to dictate and force their future of the internet upon the world, so that they can make even more profits.

False Prophets and Internet Gurus!

author Posted by: garryaw on date May 16th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Online Business Opportunities

Every single time I go online to research business opportunities, it seems that virtually every single idea, opportunity or scheme is virtually a complete waste of time. It is either some unbeatable gambling system, or a secret formula or a cant fail wealth generation program, all offering to make you wealthy.I feel that Google should possible be looking into doing more to prevent these fraudsters peddling their blatant scams. So many of the paid for Google ads, are obviously never going to make anybody money, apart from the smiling happy faces that are selling the idea.

I just love those pictures that are spread throughout the adds of those scammers, you see them standing beside their brand new Bentley, or a particular favourite of mine,  is when you see them sitting at the harbour claiming that the yacht in the background is theirs, give me a break, like we really believe you.

You also get the stealth like tactics used by some of the biggest names in blogging, I won’t name, names but they know who they are. They pretend that they are out to help you but in reality, they just want you to buy their secret formula, which is either some eBook, or training program, or some blueprint which will make you more successful.

You would think that these helpful gurus would be giving it away for free, they want us to visit their blogs, leave comments, click on their ads, then they want to charge us for the real information. I cant quite understand why they are not happy with the huge amounts of money that they are seemingly making from Google Adsense, direct advertising or whatever other forms of advertising they have. Most of what they are trying to get us to pay for, can be readily found online and for free.

Take care out there the Internet is a dangerous place full of False Prophets, promising the world, but in reality offering nothing at all.

For a real online opportunity which i wrote about, not so long ago,  will virtually cost you next to nothing in terms of money, but will require some time and effort eBooks as a Business Opportunity, How to Make Your Own

5 Not So Secret Google Adsense Tips to Boost Your Earnings!

author Posted by: garryaw on date Apr 25th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Marketing
These are proven techniques for making Google Adsense, which will work on most blogs and websites. There is no secret system, you just have to think smart and put the time and effort into making things happen. Don’t start out on the Google Adsense path and think you are instantly going to be making 1000’s of dollars a week. It isn’t going to happen.
  1. The most important step to making money from Google Adsense is to increase the volume of traffic to your blog or website. Simple ways of doing this is by distributing your articles to ezine lists, article announcement lists, blog carnivals, social bookmarks sites and yahoo groups. For this to work you need to write at least one new article a day, which needs to be of a good quality and interesting.

  2. Create the ad units so that they blend in with your blog. You will need to go into your Google Adsense control panel and enter the hex colour codes from your website or blog. Make sure the text colour; background colour, and link colours all match your blog.

  3. Don’t use borders around the ad unit boxes. Again, you want the boxes to blend, you will have to colour code the borders to match the background so that they become invisible.

  4. Find profitable niche markets, it is important not to choose markets where the cost per click is too low to make it worth your while. I suggest that you do some keyword research and find out roughly what the cost per click is in Ad Words. Usually this will be a good indication as to whether this will be successful.

  5. Keywords are of great importance, you have to make sure that your content is not overstuffed with particular keywords to the point of destroying readability and value. What you need to do is master the art of making sure your articles make liberal use of on-topic keywords, which are likely to generate the most relevant ads. Experts maintain that using keywords with your titles and H1 tags is any excellent way to assist in getting the most relevant possible adds

If you want to make money from Google Adsense, you can and will, but it takes real effort, planning, time and smart thinking. Don’t expect to be making huge amounts of money after 4 or 5 months and a few thousands visitors a month to your site. The world is full of people that expected the world too soon and for too little effort, then gave up without giving Google Adsense a proper chance.

Google Adsense The Secrets, The Secret Is! There Is No Secrets!

I’m relatively new to blogging and my ultimate aim is to turn my blog into a lucrative income stream. Like many new bloggers before me, I have started off by using Google Adsense as my first revenue-earning source.

What makes Google so appealing for so many newbie’s like me, is that it doesn’t really matter how much traffic you site is getting and it is also very simple to incorporate it, into your site. The first thing I would advise anybody new to Google Adsense to do, is read all the excellent information which Google provides, I cant believe the amount of people that have told me that they couldn’t be bothered to read it, yet they go and pay some false prophet, good money for some secret system, which they have invented, to show you how to make huge amounts of money from Google Adsense. My advice is read everything that Google offers, you will learn so much useful information that will help you to maximise profits.

The bottom line is, you will never make very much money from Adsense until your blog or website starts to generate serious amounts of traffic. Your main goal has to be, to create large numbers of new and regular visitors to your site. I would recommend implementing Google Adsense into your blog or website as soon as it goes live. This will give you the chance to get comfortable with it, learn how it works, what changes you can make to the colours of the add, what size works best, where they should be placed, etc.

The real truth is that there is no secret to Google Adsense, there is a magnitude of free information available out there which can and will help you to fine tune it. Don’t waste your money paying for some secret information which some false prophet is plugging, it may have worked on there site or sites but that doesn’t mean it will work on yours.

The real secret of Google Adsense, is that you first of all have to get high numbers of visitors to your blog or website, then through learning about how Adsense works and monitoring it regularly on your site, and by trial and error you will figure out what works best for you.
