author Posted by: garryaw on date Oct 7th, 2008 | filed Filed under: Marketing

Use these simple website promotion steps and see your traffic counter explode…

Step 1 - Pay Per Click Search Engines. Getting traffic from ppc engines is one of the fastest ways to get traffic to your site. All you have to do is research few keywords in a niche, group them into campaigns and bid them on the ppc engines. More you pay per click, higher will be your ranking in the ppc engines and more traffic you receive.

Some tips you can use to get best bang for your buck in the ppc engines…

1. Research hundreds of low cost keywords in your niche.

2. Include your main campaign keyword in your ads. This will generate more response.

3. Put up a separate landing page for each ad that includes content related to the ad and the keyword targeted.

4. Focus on generating leads by giving them something valuable for free.

You can sell them later by following them up with an autoresponder email series.

Use these 4 tips and I bet you will get some terrific traffic flowing all over your site from ppc engines.

Step 2 - Ezine Advertising. Advertising in ezines is one of the best low cost ways to promote your website. Create an attention grabbing ad and place it in an ezine in your niche where your potential customers exist. If you’ve a killer response pulling ad, a killer product offer and a targeted ezine that is read by thousands of subscribers, I bet you’ll see tons of sales instantly, almost overnight.

Here are some tips to get you started and give you the best response for your ad…

1. Make sure you test your ad, landing page and product offer by placing low cost classifed or top sponsor ads.

2. Once you have tested your ads then you can roll out to more expensive solo ads.

3. Initially place one ad in 3 ezines. Then test which ezine pulls best response.

4. Once you know the best ezine, then place different ads to test which ad pulls best response.

5. Ask the ezine publisher to give a personal recommendation about your product.
For this offer them a copy of your product for free. Personal recommendation will boost up your sales.

place your ad for the next 10 weeks in his newsletter and I am sure he will give you a hefty discount for the same.

7. Try to make solid relationship with the ezine publisher and get him to be your next joint venture partner.
Once you do this your ads will start running in that ezine for free. You’ll only pay the ezine publisher once you make a sale. This is a risk free scenario.

8. Focus on collecting leads and then you can sell them later with the help of an ecourse.

Make sure you apply these 2 simple steps and see your traffic counter explode within few days of creative efforts. I wish you all the very best and success in life and business.

My First Month As A Future Blogging Icon, 2 Million Dollar Bills

author Posted by: garryaw on date May 1st, 2008 | filed Filed under: My Blogs Monthly Appraisal

After many months of thinking about starting up a blog I finally took the plunge and on the 15th of March 2008 I purchased a domain name, bought myself some hosting and signed up with Wordpress. Was it really as simple as that, well there were a few teething problems, which you would expect when you’re participating in something completely new. But there wasn’t anything that I couldn’t overcome, the beauty of life in the 21st century, is if you ever need answers, Google is always there to lend a helping hand.

My goal with my blog was to post at least one article a day, which can take anything between 45 to 90 minutes depending on how focussed I am, on that particular day. I know I aint going to win any awards for the quality of my writing, grammar or spelling! But I feel my blog is reasonable entertaining and informative, which is what it is meant to be. I’m not pretending to be the next Ernest Hemmingway like some other bloggers out there. I’m doing the best I can and gradually improving as a blogger.

My goal like any other blogger out there is to get as many people reading my blog as possible, what’s the point if know one reads it? It goes without saying, I hope to make some money out of my blog, and I’m not really looking for fame, unless the fame involves lots of pretty girls drooling over me. I can look but cant touch, buts its still a prospect that appeals to me!

My results so far as a new blogger are as follows, I have summarised my first full month of Blogging which was April. I will not be including March because quite simply, that month was basically about setting the blog up and finding out how everything worked. My readership figures are not based upon 100’s of family and friends. I haven’t told a living soul that I personally know about my blog apart from my wife, why did I do this? I wanted to know how many people are really reading my blog because they want too, not because they feel obligated too!

The Results For April 2008

Unique Visitors:      993
Number of Visits:   3213
Pages viewed:       21797
Subscribers:          5

Earnings:

Google Adsense:  $35.69
Playing Poker:      $98.35 (I have added this because poker is a big  part of my blog)
Donations:           $15.00

Total:                   $149.04

I’m reasonable happy with these figures and will try to write better and more cutting edge articles. I plan on working hard to increase my readership and will be adding some more moneymaking opportunities to my blog during May. I appreciate everyone that has read my articles and has added to the revenue of my blog.

I started out this blog well aware that it takes a fair amount of time and effort for things to move forward; I’m in it for the long term. There is so much to learn to make a blog a success, but if we never had new things to learn and challenges to meet, I suppose life would become kinda dull.
