2 Million Dollar Bills

I recently read the shock, horror, beyond believe comments online concerning the soaring price of a gallon of petrol in the USA. The Americans are up in arms due to the sky-high cost of petrol in their great country. It has reached the unbelievable high level of $3.77, WOW, I can see what the problem is, but hold on, it gets even worse for them, In real terms the price of a gallon of petrol has went up, wait for it, a massive 20% compared to 86 years ago, WOW.

I can see how they feel hard done by! I feel it’s about time you Americans joined the real world, you have by far the cheapest petrol prices of any developed country and for that matter many undeveloped countries. It’s kind of sad to think that the citizens of the supposed greatest and most powerful country in the world are struggling to find the vast sum of $3.77 to pay for their fuel.

One of the world’s real superpowers Turkey! their citizens are paying more than three times more than the Americans. As we all know in the UK we have being getting hammered by the government since they invented taxing petrol. For all you Americans reading this you better close your eyes, for you don’t want to read this, I know you wont believe it, we are paying $8.40 a gallon.

It has  obviously  has been a ploy of every American government to keep petrol at  artificially low levels and it’s about time they joined the real world. I find it amazing considering the financial mess that the great super power is in, that they haven’t increased the cost of fuel. How are they going to continue to fund their wars in Iraqi, Afghanistan and fund any more new wars that they have planned? I know its been a while! President Bush, along with his government and the CIA are  probably plotting another war as I write this article.

I wont even mention the environment and the effect that driving all those huge gas-guzzling vehicles has on it. Or even discuss the possibility of getting a smaller more fuel-efficient vehicle. For I know most Americans wouldn’t be able to understand, yet alone contemplate those possibilities.

The moral of my story is, wake up America and stop whingeing on about the cost of petrol, you have never had it so good. I know you are reading this Mr President, when you have finished reading, I want you to forget every word you have read, I don’t want to be responsible for you putting up the price of petrol so you can start another war.
